The long awaited 5G Network has arrived. On August 6, AT&T announced that it has started its 5G service in parts of New York City. As with other cities where the carrier has launched its “5G+” service, only business users will be able to enjoy the significantly faster speeds and lower latency over 5G millimeter wave.
But for now is only available for business customers in New York City. A more practical implementation of the 5G network will come in the following months on the sub-6GHz frequencies. While nation-wide coverage should be expected in the first half of 2020.
